
Call for Proposals: Resilience RestorED – 2025 Virginia English Teachers Conference
We’re excited to announce that proposal submissions are now open for Resilience RestorED, the 2025 Virginia English Teachers Conference—happening at the beautiful Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia!
Are you passionate about creating classrooms where student voices are honored, resilience is nurtured, and reflection is part of the culture? We’re looking for dynamic presenters who are eager to share their experiences and knowledge to inspire English educators across the Commonwealth.
This year’s theme, Resilience RestorED, centers on empowering students, fostering meaningful connections with families, and cultivating self-reflective practices within our schools and classrooms. We invite proposals that highlight innovative, authentic, and inclusive approaches to:
- Centering student voice in literacy instruction
- Building resilience through culturally responsive practices
- Partnering with families and communities for student success
- Encouraging educator and student reflection as part of growth
- Creating classroom spaces rooted in equity, empathy, and empowerment
Whether you’re a classroom teacher, instructional coach, administrator, or educational leader—your voice matters, and your story can make an impact.
