🌐 VATE Website Receives 2025 NCTE Affiliate Website of Excellence Award

The Virginia Association of Teachers of English (VATE) is proud to announce that our website has been selected as a recipient of the 2025 NCTE Affiliate Website of Excellence Award!

This national recognition, presented by the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE), honors affiliate websites that exemplify excellence in design, usability, and content. According to NCTE, the award recognizes websites that demonstrate high-quality content, easy navigation, speed, accessibility, privacy, and interactive capabilities such as blogs, forums, and other communication tools that strengthen engagement within the English education community.

Established in 2000, the Affiliate Website of Excellence Award highlights the important role digital spaces play in connecting educators, sharing resources, and advancing the mission of English language arts education.

VATE will be formally recognized at the 2025 NCTE Annual Convention in Denver, Colorado, during the Affiliate Session on Sunday, November 23, 2025.

This honor reflects the collective effort of VATE’s leadership team and members who work to ensure the organization’s online presence is both informative and inspiring for teachers across the Commonwealth.
