Tori is originally from northern Michigan and moved to Virginia in November of 2008 for a teaching position with the York County School Division. She graduated from Saginaw Valley State University, where she majored in Secondary Education and English and minored in Psychology, in Saginaw, MI, in 2008. She spent her first two years teaching English 9-12 in Yorktown, VA, at York River Academy, YCSD’s charter school. She currently teaches English 9-11 at Bruton High School in Williamsburg, VA. Tori participated in the Eastern Virginia Writing Project’s Summer Institute in 2010 at the College of William & Mary. Through this experience, she found that she actually really likes writing!
