Larnette Snow is in her 15th year as librarian at Blue Ridge Elementary (K-7) in Patrick County. She received her B. A. in journalism and library science in 1977 and her M. S. in history in 1983, both from Radford University. She is a member of VEMA (Virginia Educational Media Association), NCTE, ALA, AASL and a Blue Ridge Writing Fellow (Virginia Tech, 2010). She attended the Library of Congress Summer Teachers Institute on primary resources 2010. She joined VATE and attended the 2010 fall conference to get ideas that will help her be a better teacher/librarian and because she has a passion for reading and writing and knows that writing will help her students be better readers.
